Every PADI Rescue Diver you speak to will tell you that it is the best course they've done. In the space of just one weekend you will feel the change in your own diving habits, views and limits. This course offers a different perspective on diving with buddies and other divers in general. Learn to both save yourself and others by imporving your dive skills and sitational awareness.
The best part… It’s fun! Learn what to do in dangerous situations, how to search for a missing diver and if you find them, how to bring them back to the surface safely. No one ever wants to be in a position where their Rescue Diver skills are required, but wouldn’t you rather be prepared?
First thing you’ll need with the Adelaide Scuba PADI Rescue Diver course is a current First Aid certificate (First Aid HLTAID 011)
Complete the eLearning in your own time before we start the course, complete with videos, guides, and a short quiz. Come on in to Adelaide Scuba for a session in the pool, testing your skills for various rescue scenarios. Once you are comfortable with the skills in our indoor heated pool, we take you to the ocean to test those skills in the ocean.
On the second day we spend the day on one of our dive boats running through rescue scenarios, enhancing the skills you've learnt in calm water with real ocean experiences. Once back at the store, you will be qualified as a PADI Rescue Diver!
The next step in your scuba journey might be Master Scuba Diver (Rescue diver with 5 PADI specialty certifications and 50 logged dives) which is the highest level achievable as a recreational diver!
- A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent qualifying certification from another training organisation)
- Current First Aid certification (First Aid HLTAID 011)
